Top Football Games Today 2021 (Mobile)

Updated: Aug 25, 2021

Hello Football Lover!

As a Football Lover myself, I enjoy playing football games. There are many options out there, but only a few are worthy of your time. The purpose of this article is to highlight the most time worthy football games that you can play today, so you don't have to waste time searching.

TOP Football Mobile Games (iOS/Android)

Dream League Soccer

Although it has big competitors like FIFA Mobile and eFootball PES, Dream League Soccer is by far the most enjoyable 3D football simulator on mobile.

Pros:

  • It's straight forward. You either play vs AI or in a multiplayer match. FIFA and PES have very complicated gameplay that makes you spend a lot of time in the menus and less time playing.

  • Intuitive controls. The 3 plain buttons on the screen are all you need. They are arranged wisely so that you don't get confused.

  • Fun gameplay.

  • Nice looking.

  • You never play against fake AI players while online.

Cons:

  • Online games can get unbalanced due to pay walls.

  • Single player games can sometimes be too easy.

Football Manager 2021 Touch

The Football Manager series has been around since 2005. Fans are happy to see SEGA bring the critically acclaimed title on mobile. The Touch version is meant to be as close as possible its PC counterpart.

Pros:

  • Extremely detailed representation of real football teams and players.

  • You really feel like a football manager, as you are in charge with every football related aspect that you can think of.

  • 3D match engine is an eye candy, even though it can be rough around the edges.

Cons:

  • If you are a long time fan of the series, you will be disappointed with how little the game has changed in the past few years.

  • It can get really time consuming.

Football Manager 2021 Mobile

This title is more optimised for mobile users. If you like the Football Manager series, but you simply don't have enough time, then this is what you are looking for. It is simply a stripped down version of the main game. You don't get the 3D match engine of the Touch version, but you can still see your team at work from a top-down 2D perspective.

Football Strike

Miniclip is a very experienced developer and publisher. They didn't disappoint when they launched their 3D football shooting game back in 2017. Since then, the game aged very well, receiving constant updates, fixes and improvements.

Pros:

  • Great graphics, the game is very immersive.

  • You can fully customise your player. The options are varied and good looking

  • Target Shooting and Free Kick modes add to diversity

Cons:

  • Controls can be unresponsive some times

  • You may get matched with an overpowered opponent

Head Ball 2

This is arcade football at its best. It has nothing to do with football simulation, but it's still lots of fun.

You get to play with well known football players (even though unlicensed) or with purely fictional awesome looking characters.

Pros:

  • Simple 1v1 arcade multiplayer fun

  • Catchy cartoony graphics

  • Lots of personalisation

Cons:

  • You will play half of the matches with fake AI players

  • Even though it is not always impossible to win against overpowered players, it may be frustrating.
